Hello, hello hello and welcome to rainbows rising where we ascend together. I'm your host Rainbow Raaja Shaw, a woman and transformational coach. I teach you skills to help you rise to the very best version of yourself healing trauma, having perception shifts, and laughing along the way. And each month we cover a topic or modality to offer new insights, tips and healing skills to inspire you to ascend. Thank you so much for joining me today. We are on day two of Reiki level one. Now, if you are just tuning in and you have not listened to Reiki one, history, etc, etc. Please go back in episode, go listen, all of that you need to go get your attunement, you need to go find out where Reiki originated and the importance of understanding the difference between traditional and westernized Reiki, okay? This episode, we are going to be doing a lot, it's going to be a lot of talking, it's going to be a lot of hands on work, make sure that you're not completely distracted with something that you're doing, you can always listen to this episode, and come back into the practices later. So if you haven't already, be sure to follow him to subscribe, so that you can find this episode later. Okay. So something I didn't cover last week is energy dynamics, energy ethics, understanding the, you know, just the basis of what energy is and how it works. You saw he doesn't really talk about that in his teachings. He talks about this, this. This, this energy that comes from all around us. It's a part of everything. It's in everything. It is life force. It is the life force of life. But what does that mean? And what what happens when we start to utilize this lifeforce when we start to use it for ourselves or for others? What happens when we're not using Reiki and we're using other energies, what happens when we start doing Reiki for people who maybe didn't give consent? What happens when we are sending Reiki to people who don't believe in it? What happens? So let's go ahead, let's dive into energy, ethics. And understanding. So let's just start with the basics. There's so many different energy systems in the world. We've got, you know, the chakra system in India, we have chi, which is all in the like Eastern countries with like China. And you've got key, which is the Japanese version of that, then we just have kind of like spirit, I think that's more of a westernized approach. You know, you've got even technically like, the holy the Holy Spirit, the holy light. And that's, that's more of a Christianity based belief system. So what are all these these things? Are they all different? Are they all the same? You know, how do we start to use our different understandings of energy and apply it to this new practice of Reiki, this, you know, foreign land, if you don't already live in Japan, it is a foreign land, their beliefs around this practice. Now, as I said last week, Reiki is, in essence, a Buddhist practice. There's a lot of a lot of parallels to Reiki and Buddhists practices. So it is the state of mind it is this Zen practice. It's about changing your frame of mind, your, your own awareness, your own breathing, how your energy flows in your body, very, very closely tied to like Tai Chi Chi Gong. It's about changing the flow of energy in your own body, and using that energy, helping it you know Leave your body to bring balance to other people. So, when we're talking about other modalities so obviously Reiki comes from within us. There are other energy modalities where you are taking Reiki, you know, or energy from outside yourself and you're applying it to other people. There's energy modalities, where they're like, take your own energy. Now is Reiki, our energy. No, no, it is not specifically your energy. If you go, you know, if you and a friend stand side by side, and you both are doing Reiki, are they going to be different because two different people are doing it? No, Reiki should be the same thing from each and every practitioner as long as they're doing Reiki, it should feel the same, should be the same frequency, the same energy feeling from each person. So why are there so many different Reiki practitioners why when you go to a Reiki practitioner, might it feel different there's a lot of people who use their own energy to do energy healing. They weren't taught proper foundational practices. You know, learning, grounding, learning, the Hora breath, you know, those things give that separation of the self, and the universal energy around you. Those practices help ground you into the earth, ground you into your body. So you're able to tune into this other energy that's within and around all of us, makes it easier for you to utilize it in a session or on yourself. So when you are going to a practitioner, and they're using their own energy, the thing about energy is, you know, it goes into somebody. And if it's yours, that means your memories, your trauma, your you know, your relationship dynamics, all of those things are being passed on to someone how you see the world is being passed on to that other person. Now, we're not going to be teaching you how to do Reiki on others. And I really, really, really encourage you not to, until you are trained in doing so just because there are a lot of complexities in how we transmit energy. Because like radio, we do transmit different frequencies, we transmit different signals to people. And unless you are very well practiced in transmitting the same frequency, you don't want to get interference, right? I'm sure there's been times you've been driving your car or listening to the radio, you've got this good jam on and suddenly you get like, you know, la cucaracha liquid, and it like comes in right into the middle of your song, you're like, Hey, what happened my song, right? So that's because you're you're picking up on a second frequency. And our bodies do that all the time. Whatever is the stronger signal is what our body is going to pick up on. So if somebody is in a Reiki session, they're doing Reiki on you. And, you know, one minute they're, they're in the Reiki flow, they're in this really Zen state, but then they start to think about what they're doing tomorrow. Oh, what am I doing tomorrow? Up? Now they're starting to think about, you know, whether or not, you know, is my customer? You know? Are they feeling anything? Are they having a good time? Oh, I remember now I really want to, you know, they said they really needed help in their throat. So I'm gonna, I'm going to really push my energy into that throat, I'm going to push it into that throat, oh, wait a second, I had, you know, a cocktail party tomorrow, I'm going to have to make sure that I have my dress ready and this. So what do you think is happening while this person is having all of these thoughts that are not in the present moment, that are not in the flow of Reiki? That even though they are well intentioned, even when they moved from their thoughts about their party, into Oh, I'm going to work on this person's throat chakra. What do you think is happening in that transition of train of thought? That's right. They're changing their the radio wave. So you may be in the Reiki flow, and suddenly, you're not you're not there. So what are you still sending into a person? Not Reiki that's, that's what's happening you're sending not Reiki could be anything from you know your apprehension for your party. To your excitement For the party, or maybe you're self conscious nervousness about your client thinking and judging you. And so these emotions and energies and thoughts are now being sent as waves of energy onto the person you're working on. So we're not going to be working on people. And the reason I want to talk about the ethics is people get Reiki and they're like, Well, I was taught Reiki one on this podcast, I can do it for anybody. It it there are, you know, there is a certain amount of practice that needs to go into understanding those different frequencies, how to know when you are in the flow, versus when you're not in the flow. I know I'm in the flow, when I literally start to fall asleep with my client, when there is nothing on my mind when I can feel Reiki washing over my own body. And me and the client are both like on the edge of snoring, because we're both so deep in the healing. The wonderful thing about Reiki is when you really are open to receiving, you know, and when you when you're working on yourself, you are open to receiving, the more you practice on yourself, the more your body is going to open up to receiving this new frequency. That's why at the end of this month, I really encourage you to do the 30 day Reiki cleanse, and I'll talk more about what that is later. But understanding the ethics where we don't go around and just send Reiki to people, if somebody doesn't believe in Reiki, or they don't give consent, to receive Reiki, they're not going to get harmed Reiki doesn't do harm. But it's not going to go anywhere, it's gonna be a waste of your actual time and energy. And not only that, but there's a little bit of like, little bit of ego that goes into that, because a lot of times we send energy healing to people because there's like, oh, look, I'm doing a charity service. Or I'm you know, you don't want that you don't want that kind of energy coming back at you at any point in time. You want to be genuine with what you're doing. Make sure you're using Reiki for your own self healing and self awareness, to a point where you have really integrated it into every aspect of your day. And you're consistently doing it every day. And if you're doing it every single day for several months, and you have seen a huge drastic change in your life, and you are ready to to take that and do sessions with clients. You hit me up. All right, hit me up, I would be more than happy to teach you how to run a session protocol. But until that day comes just understand, there's a lot of there's a lot of different elements that go into energy dynamics. Thoughts can be transferred, emotions can be transferred, trauma can be transferred. Even relationship dynamics with like your parents or your partners can be transferred. If you are not focused, and centered and neutral, when entering a session with another person. Working on yourself is the best way to clear any kind of obstacles and to really become attuned to the difference between yourself and this new energy. The difference between anxiety and this New Energy, the difference between being in the present moment and being in your head. The difference between having a bunch of, you know, a bunch of different thoughts going on, and being in the flow of Reiki. So how do you know if you're in the flow? How do you know if you are in the flow? When I'm utilizing Reiki, I can feel this pulse. Like a like a really gentle heartbeat. In my body, my skin, my cells feel like they're opening up, expanding and then gently contracting with my breath. I can really feel that flow. My mind is always silent. It's just empty. It's peaceful. I never ever feel like I have to do a healing. I never feel like I have to. Like try. I'm never pushing. One of the things that I find a lot of Reiki practitioners when they're starting out, is they they feel the need to push they feel The need to try too hard. I have to try to get this energy out, you're not going to the bathroom, you guys don't push, pushing never helped anybody anyway, you know what I mean? So there's no pushing. It's a surrender. It's an opening, like a like a Imagine yourself like a flower, like little flower bud, you're all tightly closed and wound, the only way the flower is going to get the sunlight is to gently unfurl its petals, open itself up and absorb it. And when we're doing Reiki, and we're receiving Reiki, it is much like that. When you go outside, and you close your eyes, and you face the sun, and you just let the sun you know, beat down on your face and on your arms. And you're just soaking up that light. I know for me, I'm in this calm, quiet state of peace, where I'm just absorbing this light, I have a bunch of thoughts going on, I'm not distracted by anything, I'm just absorbing light. You got to do that with Reiki too. Even though the sun is bright, you close your eyes, you relax your face. And you just let that warmth, open you up with Reiki, it is much of the same thing. You sit, you do your higher breath, you relax your muscles, you relax your mind, you just focus on the in and out. You focus in on that lower Hara, bringing in the energy and allowing it to expel out of your body. You bring in the energy and you release the energy. And you just focus your thoughts on that pattern of in and out. And as you do that, you'll find yourself falling into this flow. You don't have to push, you don't have to force, you don't have to, you know control your thoughts on where you're going to put your hands next should be very intuitive. Even putting your hands on the next area is always quite intuitive. Trust your intuition. And allow yourself to truly relax, you don't have to be awake. To receive Reiki, when you start doing Reiki, it's going to keep flowing until you've filled up until you're all done. So don't feel the need to sit there and micromanage every single little tiny breath and where it's going in your body. Just let it go, where it needs to go. Let it flow where it needs to flow. The energy has an intelligence of its own. It's good going to flow where there is a lack of life, where there's a lack of health, where there's a lack of balance and harmony in your body, it's going to find its negative polar opposite. You know, since it is the frequency of life, it's going to find where there is decay and death where there are things that are not in balance in your body. And it is going to be attracted to those areas. And it's just going to pretty much sit there until it is harmonized that area, and it will dissipate at that point. So having that awareness that you don't have to do anything that this energy has its own agenda, that this energy has its own mechanism of completion that you don't have to complete anything that takes a lot of pressure off of us. But as human beings, we are always the I want to do I want to do I want to do, do your best to give yourself the permission to just receive give yourself the permission to just be give yourself the permission to let it go. Let it flow. Okay. So we I gave you guys the horror breathing last week. I really hope that you took the time practiced it every single day. You increased your Reiki flow. I'm going to give you two more practices before we move on. In our lesson plan. This practice is called Shi Shan which means creating a unified mind. So she Shin is spirit, mind soul intention and toy issue is to unite or unify to make one. This technique strengthens the ability to feel energy in your hands. So if you have struggled the past week with feeling Reiki, feeling like you're doing Reiki, you're like, oh, I don't feel anything. This is the practice for you by practicing this meditation, periodically, you will become more sensitive to the Reiki and other subtle energy fields within around the body. So go ahead. Gosh, show, put your hands together. Take a few deep breaths of Reiki light from the top of your head down into your lower Hara. Breathing it out and filling the body with Reiki. Take a couple of breaths all the way down to your lower Hara right behind the belly button and breathing it out through every pore in the body, filling your body with light. Take a deep breath of Reiki all the way down to your lower Hara. Breathe it into the rest of your body and out through your pores. Get the tips of your fingers and the tips of your toes. Breathe it all the way in and expand it breathe out breathe it in and expand it. Breathe out. Now, still in Ghoshal breathe the Reiki in from the tip of your fingertips. Breathing up your arms up into your shoulders and chest. Draw it down into your lower Hara. So let's do that together. Breathe that in through the tips of your fingers. up your arms, up your shoulders and down into your lower horror and on your outbreath burried the light out back through the torso down through the shoulders and out through the fingertips. It can sometimes help to imagine light leaving your fingertips or a fine mist or a smoke as you breathe out. So you're breathing in the light through your fingertips. up your arms down into your belly. Breathe it out, down your arms out through your fingertips. And feeling it. Leave your fingertips like a fine mist. Do this breathing until the flow of Reiki is stable and regular. And continue for as long as Reiki flow is strong. So I'm gonna go ahead and do this with you. Let's do a couple of these breaths together on our own see that smoke rising up from your fingertips. Bring the Reiki in through your fingertips down into your belly button. And as you breathe out see it leave your fingertips breathe it in and breathe it out breathe it in and breathe it out breathe it in and breathe it out. I know for me, my hands feel very warm. I was having some releases, ended up burping a couple of times, my fingers are now cracking. I had a little bit of pain in my hand that ended up being that crack. So when the session comes to a natural end, go ahead, gosh, show give thanks. So for me, my hands got really, really warm, I could really feel the Reiki flowing through my body, and helped me connect with this energy. That should really help any of you that were struggling to feel this energy, make it more real for you. Because you'll begin to feel that, that connection to that energy, you'll feel it as warmth in your hands or tingling in your hands. If you really struggled with the visualization, just know your goal is breathing in this light into your hands. You know, get it to your heart, at the very least. And as you breathe out, let it come out through your fingertips, right. So the second practice, we're going to go ahead and do it's called the hara connection. This technique is actually a chi gong technique that became a really useful technique. In conjunction with Reiki, this concept is used to connect the three haras together. So now that we have our Reiki flowing, we're all warmed up. Let's go ahead and gosh shown. We are setting an intention. We haven't gotten to this part. But setting an intention in a Reiki session, even when working on yourself is so important. Having the clarity of what you're working on, I am setting my intention to do such and such. Like, if I were to do a healing session on myself right now, I'd be like, I'm going to set the intention to release any kind of imbalances in my spine, and brain. And I would do Reiki for those two things. When you give an intention, you're giving a general idea of you know, to this energy where you'd like the focus to go. But you're also giving yourself a focus, so that if you notice that, you know your mind is going all over the place, you can kind of anchor yourself back into that area or back into that intention. So with this Hora connection, we're going to go show, set our intention to connecting the three Horus together. And I'm going to recommend that you remind yourself to move slowly. Be gentle with yourself and allow your body and Reiki to guide you. There should be no pushing, there should be no forcing, you shouldn't feel the need to rush. And if you start to feel the need to rush, just stop where you're at. And do this practice again tomorrow or the next day. Your goal is not to push the Reiki and make it move through your body as fast as it can. Your goal is to allow the Reiki to gently wear away your blocks. You don't want to force any blocks down because your body just won't respond well to that. So be gentle with yourself and don't force if you're not where I'm at. That's okay. Just continue with whatever step you're on. Okay before I move forward, plays your dominant hand over your upper Hara above your head and begin Hara breathing and directing your attention to the space above your head. Okay, so let's start that heart breathing. Breathing in the Reiki breathing it down allow your non dominant hand to remain relaxed and loose as you breathe Reiki into the space above your head. Just breathe Reiki into the space above your head. Once you begin to feel the Reiki over your head move your dominant hand down from your upper Hara to your middle Hara right over your heart. Allow your hand to rest on your chest over your sternum. Breathe, do the heart breathing into your heart Hara. So just like we learned the heart breathing into your lower heart, do the breathing butt into your heart for this particular section. Breathing in allowing it to go into your heart breathing out, filling the space around you. Breathe the Reiki into your heart. As you breathe out, just let it fill the space around you. Breathe the Reiki into your heart. As you breathe out, blow it into the space around you. Stay here until you feel the Reiki connection drawing down from the upper Hora to your middle Hara. When you start to feel that connection, you start to feel the warmth or the tingles or the lightness. Go ahead and move your dominant hand to your lower Hara, below the navel and rest here until you feel the connection. Move down and just continue your Hara breathing. Breathing down now from the top of your head to your navel, breathing out through your pores. Breathing in through the top of your head all the way down into your belly button and out through your pores when you start to feel that connection with that lower Hara more strongly move your dominant hand back to your middle heart or your heart Hara. And do some horror breaths here. But right into your heart so you're breathing in from the top of your head into your heart. Breathing out allowing it to expand through your pores. Breathing in through the top of your head down into your heart. Breathing it out through your body. Breathe it in through the top of your head. Breathe it out through your body once you start to feel that connection with your heart Hara, go ahead and move your hand up to the upper Hara. Just have your hand hovering above the top of your head, the crown of your head and do your Reiki breathing into the space above the top of your head. Breathe in, just let it really rests there at the top of your head and as you breathe out, just let it like expand out into your room. radiate into the room around you. Breathe it in through the top of your head. Breathe it out and radiate it around you. So with this practice, you would want to then once you start to feel that flow, you'd move your hand back down to your heart Hara. You do some higher breaths there. You move it down to your lower Hara. You do some horror breaths there, so on and so forth. Until you feel the connection through all three of them. It should not feel like you're moving from one to the next, you should feel like all three of them are filled with this Reiki energy field with that sensation that you're now starting to associate Reiki with. So when you do when you start to feel that connection, go ahead and return to God show and just hold for a moment and observe that sensation of all three haras open, connected with Reiki. What does that feel like to you? Notice all the feelings within and around you. Just sit and observe in silence For the rest of the practice when you feel like you've completed this practice give gratitude to Reiki give gratitude to yourself and go ahead and finish up with that gosh shown and that's the heart connection practice. That's a really incredible practice to balance all three of your own horas. I know we talked a little bit about the horas that you know you have your upper Hara, which is your connection to like heaven. Universal energy, this is your point of access for celestial and divine eternal lifeforce energy, this is like you know opening the third eye and crown chakra right. Then you have your middle Hara, which is your connection to others your your emotional connection to life, this is your, your childlike self, so your inner child, this is this is how you process your life experiences. And then your lower Hara, which is your origin energy, your Creator energy, this is your connection to earth. This is your connection to the to home and security, to feeling like you're being provided for to feeling strong in your life, having stability and confidence in balance in your life. So having all three of these balanced, you will see such profound change in all areas of your life across the board, physical health, mental health, emotional health, you'll see your relationships completely transform. So just keep in mind, even though these practices are seemingly boring, they do a lot and the more that you do them, the more benefit you will notice and the more you will experience in your day to day life. So one of the most important parts of Reiki that is always glossed over is the Reiki Gokai. The Reiki Gokai is the five Reiki precepts. These are the principles of Reiki, Usui sensei come composed five principles. As a core part of the teachings of Reiki. These precepts originated from Chinese Buddhism and exist in various forms and teachings of monastery and martial arts all across the globe. The exact phrasing of the Gokai Usui sensei used has been lost. But I do have an inscription of the Yo Kai from his memorial stone written by his students after his death, which I believe is probably one of the more accurate descriptions of the Gokai. There was also a document that was recovered that is believed to be yesway senseis own handwriting, but it's really kind of impossible to verify. And the core meaning remains intact. And we're going to talk about all the different ways that you can interpret this this core meaning. However, there are slight differences in phrasing, especially in regards like Japanese into westernized because in Japan, there's this there's this word that mean that's called Koto. Dhamma and that's the spiritual power of words. And that what happens with a lot of Japanese words is there are multiple meanings to these words into these phrases. And they have more of like a spiritual understanding that comes through the more that you're, you know, kind of doing these things. So even though there's a slight change in how how these words are being interpreted, there is a basic principle and I implore you to please explore the Gokai for yourself, do some journaling, start a relationship with these five precepts. So that you can start to evaluate how closely you are resonating with these these precepts and cultivating Reiki energy for yourself. Memorial of your Soi, sensei says first, firstly, we say today, do not anger. Secondly, we say Do not be anxious Thirdly, we say, be grateful. Fourthly, we say, be diligent in your work. Fifthly we say, be kind to people. And the document that was attributed to use Wait, sensei says, The secret method of inviting happiness, the miraculous healer of all ailments, just for today, do not anger. Do not worry. Give thanks. strive to improve yourself. Be kind to all living beings. Every morning and evening, sit in Ghoshal meditate in your heart and chant with your mouth these words for improvement of mind and body. You saw a Reiki healing method founder, your soy sauce and your soy milk cow. So, those are the two documents that were found. I'm going to go ahead and share how I personally working with these precepts how I have interpreted them in a way that helps me really embody you know the the essence of Reiki because these are meant to help you get in balance with the Reiki energy. So let's let's first break this down. Okay. You always start with the precepts with just for today. Why? Why are we saying just for today? Because you soy rake, you know, your soy? Sensei really wanted people understand that right now, in this moment is the only moment that matters. You have power right now in this moment. Saying that forever and ever and ever, we're going to abide by these precepts is not practical. We are humans, we make mistakes. And it's a lot of pressure to say everyday for the rest of your life, you're going to abide by these precepts. It's impossible, and it will deter people from wanting to to do that every day. But if you say just for today, just for this moment, right now, in this very moment, I am going to do these things. So right now, you guys right now, in this moment, let's do these five precepts. So whatever you're doing, if you are not in alignment with one of the precepts, I say, what can you do to change it? Okay, what can you do to shift the energy behind whatever it is you're not in alignment, alignment with. So just for today, do not rise to anger. Do not rise to anger. So just for right now, just for today, I'm not going to rise to anger. I'm not going to let somebody trigger me I'm not going to let anger get the best of me. Because when you are angry, you end up hurting people including yourself. Anger is not wellness. You know, anger is fear. It really is. So when we are feeling anger, you are not in alignment with wellness, you're in alignment with fear. Okay. Do not worry. Just in this moment, I can't focus on healing if I'm too busy worrying. Worry, once again is a fear based energy. fear based energy. I will not worry right now. Maybe 4am In the morning, but I'm not worrying. I'm just moving along doing my Reiki precepts. Do not worry. Be humble and grateful. If you're not humble and grateful, what are you? Well, you're a little egotistical and super ungrateful. So you're like taking advantage of people and not appreciating what you have. Those things also cause pain and then cause hurt. They're not in alignment with wellness either. Because it's not mental wellness, being humbled and grateful is mental wellness. So have gratitude for your health, have gratitude for your life, have gratitude for all the things that are not even working. Just have gratitude. Be humble in the things that you're doing well in Be honest in your work. I'm being honest, my work. I literally just told you guys, it's 4am on a Tuesday. Sitting here, it's four in the morning on a Tuesday, I'm being honest in this work that I'm doing with you, trying to be very candid with you about the dynamics of energy, candid with you that these Gokai are so important, are so important for helping you get in the mindset. And in the the lifestyle that is conducive with doing incredible Reiki work. So be honest in your work and work with integrity, a lot of people get confused when the word integrity is getting thrown about. Working with integrity means that you are understanding that even if you want to make money, few are feeling ill, then it's probably best to call your appointment off to you know, to call your your job off to call into work sick. And we work with integrity. We are being completely transparent with our clients. We're not trying to squeeze them for everything they have. We're being honest about the value that we're offering. We're being honest about you know, about our certifications, we're being honest about what we are capable of doing. Right. So having integrity, making sure that your work is worth their time and money is important. We're not talking just working with integrity at your job. This is also living with integrity, be honest in your life. Live with integrity, live with integrity, be honest with your life, make sure that you're living a life that you can be proud of that you are, you know, fulfilling what you want out of life. And the very last one is Be compassionate towards all things. Have understanding that people and animals have feelings and that you know that that you need to have compassion for those that are not doing as well as you even includes yourself. having compassion for yourself. Okay. So let's go through that again. Just for today. Do not rise to anger. Do not worry. Be humble and grateful. Be honest in your work or life and work with integrity. Be compassionate toward all things. I encourage you to get a journal. Make this a Reiki journal. Write down how each healing each little Hora breathing practice that you do, you know works out and do a little journaling. At the end of the day. Write down in your journal. You know the Gokai just for today. Do not rise to anger. Do not worry. Be humble and grateful. Be honest in your work, work with integrity, be compassionate towards all things. Write those down. And each day, say did I rise to anger? And then describe what happened? What triggered you to rise to anger if you were not able to stay? level headed? Did you worry today? What were you most worried about? Write down what you were worried about? How can you step out of that frame of mind of worry? Journal how you think you could have you know avoided worrying? Is it something that you can take action on right now? Or is it something that you have no power over? If you have no power over it? You know, can you just kind of let it go? Right? Where you humble and grateful today? Did you find moments of gratitude? Where you cocky Did you find yourself boasting at any point in the day? If so, and you got to knock yourself down a couple notches right? Where are you honest in your work? Were you honest in your life? Did you find yourself lying to anybody? Did you find yours? have kind of trying to cheat the system? Because if you did, you better go back. Go back, figure out why you did that. Why did you feel the need to lie? Why did you feel the need to cheat the system? Why did you feel the need to break the code of integrity today? And were you compassionate towards all all things, including yourself? Oh, no. Your partner was grumbling about their day, and you had no compassion for them because you felt your day was way more horrible than theirs? Well, you just broke two of the Reiki precepts there you were not humble and you were not compassionate. So you can see how hard it can be to live your day. By these precepts. It can be very challenging, but it's important that you strive to do so that you wake up in the morning just for today, do not rise to anger, do not worry, be humble and grateful, be honest, in my work, work with integrity and be compassionate towards all things. It is really important you try your best to follow those precepts. thing I really like to do for myself is I really, really enjoy chanting the Japanese version of the Gokai. Mostly because I really honor the the traditional approach to Reiki, I believe that words have power. I believe that the Japanese words are correlated to this particular practice. And I really, I think that like sitting and creating almost like a mantra can be very relaxing, I find it extremely relaxing for myself. So it if you want, I'm going to end the show later, with just chanting the Japanese go Kai, and I encourage you to chant with me, and to listen back whenever you feel inclined to do so. And I'll just make it I'll make a little chapter of so you can just skip ahead to that if you want to do that in the future. But for today, before to do, I did want to talk a little bit about using Reiki with more well known energy system, chakras. So although chakras are really popular in like the Western approach to Reiki, they are not actually part of the traditional Reiki like system or instruction. Chakras come from Hinduism. And like they're kind of like haras, but they are the major energy center, you know, centers along the midline of the torso, but there's seven of them. And there's a couple of minor ones, you know, in the hands and in the feet. But there are seven major chakras that are well known. You have your root, your sacral, your solar plexus, your heart, your throat, your third eye and your crown, all that, right. So each one is associated with a color, and an area of the body, as well as like physical and psychological aspects of the human nature. And each chakra also has a mantra and a mudra. To balance it. We kind of talked about this in like an older episode. So we're not going to go over all of that. But if you're interested in that information, and you want to learn how to integrate all the mudras and how to know when your chakras are out of balance and all that. Please like hit me up on social media, let me know that you want to know these things. And I'll try and post them on social media for you guys. thing as is when you are when you are a little bit more experienced using Reiki and you start to use the hand positions which we will be talking about very shortly. You're going to be able to integrate that into your chakra system by going oh, this is my heart chakra. This is my solar plexus chakra. If you know your own problems, you'll also have an understanding of where in the body, you can start to direct that Reiki. And like I said earlier, don't force anything. Allow Reiki to kind of flow where it wants to go. You'll feel a pull in a general direction on your body. Just trust that it's going where it needs to go. But if you're working on specific thing, and you already know the energy is there, you can have the awareness. Oh, I'm working on my heart chakra. And that should help give you something that your mind can kind of focus on if you have trouble with that. So we're gonna go ahead and talk about doing a Reiki healing session on yourself. setting intentions for your session is really important. This is not the same as deciding where Reiki needs to go and feeling you have to fix a problem and pushing it in that general direction. This is setting an intention, which gives a focus for your session, you're gonna have something in mind that you would like to improve or resolve, whether it be diminishing physical pain, working on an ailment, or maybe you want to, like clear up an emotional problem, or just give more clarity to an area of life where you feel stuck. For example, let's set our intention to bring wellness and healing to you know, for me, it's I've been coughing all night. So give wellness and and healing to my, to my throat. Right. Just gonna go ahead and put my hand you know, start my Reiki flow do my gosh show here we are doing Gosh show thank you Reiki Thank you body. Thank you to you know, you guys all out there listening to me doing the show. And I'm gonna go ahead and start doing I Hara breath. Breathing, bringing that Reiki down into my into my belly button and breathing it out through my hands. And I'm just placing my hands over my throat now as I'm breathing it's funny because I'm actually quite surprised, I am breathing it into this area. But that's not where the Reiki wants me to go. It's actually pulling me down into my heart. So I'm just gonna go ahead and allow my hands to follow where it's, it's pulling me, I can literally feel it like a magnet being pulled down into my heart. So I'm gonna breathe that Reiki into there. Now as I do this, I'm going to continue to talk to you guys, it can be helpful setting an intention for how long your session will run. So for me, I'm gonna go ahead and just do this for five minutes while I continue to teach you. The cool thing is, is like I said, Reiki is an intelligent force, it will come to a natural close by the end of this allotted time, because you have set this intention. And it will pretty much fit into whatever space you will allow it. You can set intentions for, you know environments as well. So if you're in a room and you walk into a room and somebody just had an argument, and you're like, I don't want this, you know, vibe in here, you can use Reiki to clear the vibe of the room. Setting the intention, I want only positive and high vibrational healing energies to remain present in this room in this space. This space is safe and sacred. Because space is clear this space is neutral, whatever. And you just do your heart or breath and you breathe the Reiki into your room. As I'm doing this healing, I find that one hand migrated up to my throat and one hand is sitting on my heart. The basic intentions for a session are listed. I'm going to go ahead and tell you those intentions in a moment to help you set boundaries on what your session will and will not do if you set the intention to do no harm, no harm can be done. Not only that, but Reiki doesn't do harm ever. It's literally the vibration of wellness. But it's good to always just kind of announced that I'm not going to do any harm. I'm only doing what is for the best and highest good. I'm setting the intention that this work is for the greatest good Many Reiki healers or even alternative health providers end up doing at one point or another is we all end up with the feeling that we need to heal people. I talked to you earlier about avoiding pushing your energy out avoiding feeling the need to do something, this is a doing action. If you are sitting down, you're like I need to heal myself. And there's like an ego behind the intention, you are feeling like you need to manipulate your body. And the Reiki will just stop flowing. This is all ego driven, and will completely disconnect you from Reiki. Because technically, it's going to unintentionally cause harm to your body because you can't manipulate your body it's not good to do that. So it also breaks several Reiki precepts as well worrying, working honestly, with integrity. And being humble. Because when we say we're going to fix ourselves, we're going to fix somebody, we're going to heal somebody, that's all. Ego, there's no humbleness there at all. So as long as you stay connected to this Reiki flow, allowing the flow to move through you, at a move wherever it needs to go, wherever it needs to go, the work is going to happen. And it's going to happen well, okay, so these basic intentions for beginning a Reiki session is, I am connected to earth and sky. I am a clear and open channel for the flow of Reiki, I am open to receiving whatever I need most in this moment, I use that one a lot. I am open to facilitating whatever I need most at this moment. I intend this work for the highest and best good. I intend No harm shall come from this work. I think the universe for Reiki healing. When you are ready for the session to come to a close you can you know state one of these intentions either in your mind or aloud. I intend that the session come to a natural close. May this work continue beyond the close of this session. May we be grounded in our body and centered in our spirit. I think the universe for Reiki healing. So for me, I have the same ones I use every single time. I say I'm open to receiving whatever I need most in this moment, I am open to facilitating whatever I need most at this moment. I intend the highest and best good for all involved. And then I I set the intention that this work continue beyond the close of the session and be received by whoever I'm working on. Right. So that's kind of how I work at let's start doing some Reiki healing. So you guys just pick one of those intentions make up your own. You don't want to be like I'm gonna heal everything in my body, you go, that's all ego, you need to be humble, right? So I set the intention, that Reiki flow to wherever is needed, I set the intention that I'm open to receiving whatever Reiki deems I need. I'm open to facilitating whatever healing I need right now. Right, so those are mine, you guys can choose your own. So I'll give you a moment to do that. I'm gonna guide you through the hand positions for self healing treatment. Let's go ahead and gosh show. We always go show before doing any kind of healing work. And let's just do a little bit of that practice earlier, where you're breathing in that light from the tip of your fingertips down into your lower heart and breathing it back out in a puff of smoke. So breathe in. Breathe out all the way down to your belly button and breathe it out. To more breathing in through the tips of your fingers down your arms down your heart, into your belly and breathe it out through the depths of your fingers. One more time, breathe it in through the tips of your fingers. and breathe it out through the tips of your fingers that you feel that flow going. Let's start with position one. I always encourage you guys to listen to Reiki, allow the energy to guide you. You've set your intention, you know what you want to work on. But if you don't know what you want to work on, you have no direction, you're just like I want to work on whatever, I'm gonna let my hands guide me. This is a good place to start, you start with your hands at the very top of your head, both of your hands on the ground of your head. And just breathe into that space. Breathe the Reiki into the crown of your head. If you feel like you're pushing, try and lift your hands off of your head. Try and expand your hands as far as you can off your head. And very slowly bring them closer to the top of your head. And just imagine like You're like touching the top of like cotton balls. And just like find where you feel a little bit of resistance, like a little, little tiny like Cloud or a little like puffiness that's like pushing against your hands. Where you feel that that that moment that you feel a very slight resistance almost like you're like, you know, taking your hands like poofing a cloud or poofing a pillow. You just stop at that that line, you know where it goes from no resistance to resistance and you rest your your hands on that invisible line and do your your heart breathing into that line. Now this place that you have found, is called the sweet spot. Everybody has an energy field. Some people are more guarded than others. Our bodies have these energy fields to protect us from unwanted energies or unwanted interactions with other people or other things. Respect your body. Find where your your hands are comfortable, find where your energy is comfortable. Right now my hands are about four inches off the top of my head. And as I'm breathing and allowing the Reiki to flow, they're actually naturally being drawn down pulled in like a magnet to the top of my head as my body begins to feel more and more comfortable with this energy flow. But for most of these positions, I encourage you guys to start with your hands far off your body and slowly pull them in bouncing them very slowly, like we're talking like butterfly wings slow like bounce them off the air. And see if you can find a point of resistance, like a little invisible wall that you're just gently touching like a cobweb. Right. And that is the edge of your aura. That's the edge of where your body feels it is safe to receive energy and just let your hands rest in that space. Okay. So some of you are ready to move on from position one, I encourage you that if you're still working on position one, just go ahead and keep working on position one, we're going to move on to position two. So everybody move your hands, place them in front of your eyes. Just find that that's spot so I'm taking my hands pulling them all the way in front of me. And I'm just gently pulling them forward. So I can find that that resistance spot so I don't have any. In fact, my hands just want to go directly onto my eyes. You can just go ahead and rest your hands over your eyes if your body has no point of resistance. If you found resistance, just do your heart breathing into that space. Just let the Reiki flow into your eyes. Do your forehead and your cheeks Rest those eyes. I've been staring at screens for way too long. Let them rest and all that sleep deprivation. Let them rest breathe out let's move on to position number three. Take your hands, pull them off the body and hover them over the ears and just gently pull, you know bounce your hands very slowly, very gently until you find a point of resistance. You don't find any point of resistance, go ahead and place your hands directly on your ears and do your heart breathing. So these positions are really useful as a foundation. As a beginning practitioner practicing on yourself, it's recommended that you do five minutes per position it's really beneficial if you can set aside that kind of time. You might even find areas that need more time than that. It's making sure you have the time to do this and that you don't rush and you really let yourself sink into this energy and into the experience Okay, let's go ahead and move on to position four plays one hand, one hand at the back of your skull. Right where your skull becomes your neck at the back of your head right. Just cradle cradle the back of your skull. Place your other hand on your forehead and just go ahead and do your heart breathing and relax. Right position five plays one hand over the throat and one hand right kind of right below your collarbone because that's where all your glands are like your thyroid and all that. There's one, one hand over the throat, one hand right below the collarbone. Go ahead and do your heart breathing. My hand is hovering over my throat. It's not placed directly on my other hand is directly on my skin. Just listen to your body. Play around with your energy field make sure that you're respecting your body's boundaries. Right Go ahead and move on to position six plays both your hands on your upper chest over your heart do your heart breathing All right, let's go ahead and move on to position seven. So you're gonna go ahead and hover your hands over your ribcage over your torso. This is like a solar plexus area for those who are familiar with the chakra system just go ahead and breathe Reiki into your torso into your ribcage remember to feel around for that, that little bit of resistance just kind of bounce your hands very slowly and gently off your body finding any kind of density I feel such a block in my own solar plexus right now All right, let's go ahead and move down to position eight. Take both your hands and place them above your lower Hara where your belly button is your navel. And as you're working on yourself, notice whenever there's any other aches, pains, or sensations that are coming up in other areas of your body. That means that you're kind of having a chain reaction of healing happening. So if you're like working on your stomach, and suddenly you have like a shoulder pain show up, that means that there's some kind of connection there and just keep working on that area until that pain subsides. That means that you're you're balancing that spot. And the very last position is placing your your hands kind of hovering them over your pelvis or over your thighs if you're seated. And as you do your heart breathing, I'm just gonna go ahead and talk about these positions why they're important. So position one which was the top of your head that's helping you connect with your spiritual self that's helping you connect with your guides and your own faith and your own connection to like, divinity and connection to like You know, all that is life, right? Position two is your palms over your eyes. That is bringing you clarity that's like working on, you know, obviously your actual eyes and your face and probably even knew your lymphatic system to an extent. But it's also working on clarity, being able to see clearly. Position three is your, your hands over your temples and ears. And this is how you treat the right and left brain. This is how you are, you know, balancing the right and left brain, how you're balancing your right and left ear position for one hand on your forehead and the other on the back of your skull. So that's intuition. Right. So that one is also like that's opening your third eye chakra your upper Hara chakra right. Upper Hara, and you are sending energy into that Hara system and you're opening up your third eye. position five is your your throat and your thyroid glands, your parathyroid and your normal thyroid. And that is helping you with self expression and creativity. So when you're working on that area, it's about like communication and self expression and creativity. And also balancing your thyroid and your hormones, right. position six is your hands on your upper chest. That's helping you connect with unconditional love. It's helping you with any kind of heart trauma, any kind of physical heart ailments, any kind of circulatory issues. Position seven is your hands over your ribcage, which is self esteem, that's your personal drive, that's your career path that you're how you perceive yourself, your limiting beliefs, your belief systems, etc, etc. So position eight is your hands on your your bellybutton, your navel, and this is your connection to you know, your masculine and feminine sides. This is your connection to your emotional, your emotional well being. This is like your relationship to yourself in a way. And how you perceive your experience of life. So if you're someone who tends to worry, or you're someone who has like, glass, glasses, half empty kind of outlook, this is helping to balance that area. position nine is placing your hands on your pelvis. And that's helping you balance your sexuality, your friendships. And, you know, in regards to, you know, all those lower organs as well. And even like your legs and any kind of like leg issues, circulatory issues, right. So the great thing is, is you can use these, these hand positions, whether you're sitting up or you're in bed, I really recommend that you guys get comfortable so you can really allow yourselves to relax into those positions. And so as you're finishing up, go ahead and gosh show and give thanks for the energy, give things to yourself. Give things to your Reiki master if you feel the need to do so. And let's go ahead and start talking about energy clearing. Because now that we've learned how to do Reiki, now that we have learned how to heal ourselves, what about when you're like out and about with your friends? Or you're at your job and something bad happens and you're like, oh my god, something just triggered the you know the heck out of me. What do you do? What do you do? Well, you can do Yoku haul, or dry bathing. Can Yoku is dry bath and hole is method is a practice to purify the body, the heart and spirit. This technique is generally used before and after the practice of any energy work. But it can also be used if you are like getting triggered or you interact with somebody and you ended up picking up their energy. I use this for social events if I go to a large party or if I'm in a mall, I use this after I'm done shaking people's hands. I use this if I noticed that I feel like somebody is trying to tap into my energy field. This is great for all that. And you keep finding more things you can utilize this for because trust me, I'm sure it has a lot of applications. So let's go ahead and learn it. Start with Gosh, show, center your mind and set your intention, standing or sitting. Okay, so work off showing, we're setting our intention, I'm clearing the energy that is not mine out of my body, right, we're doing some dry bathing, we're going to clear the energy out of our body, we are going to place our right hand on our left shoulder where the collarbone and shoulder meet, you're breathing in and on the outbreath, sweep your hand diagonally down from the left shoulder to the right hip. So you're gonna go across your body out to the right hip, and you're going to almost like sweep it off your body, like like a brush, like like a broom, you just sweep it off your body, you'll feel a little energy kick up as you do that. So from your shoulder to your hip, use like an axe, you're going to go across your body to the hip, right. Um, on the in breath, you're going to place your left hand on your right shoulder and on the outbreath sweep down diagonally from the right shoulder to your left hip. So you breathe in, put your hand there. And as you breathe out, you're going to sweep and make an axe. So we're going to start with sweeping your right to your, your right hand on your left shoulder to your right hip, your left hand to your right shoulder to your left hip and you're making an axe across your body. Okay, practice that a couple times. Right hand to your left shoulder sweep to your right hip, left hand to your right shoulder sweep to your left hip. Okay, now that you have perfected that you're sweeping the energy off your body, breathe in, returning your right hand to your left shoulder. And on the out breath, sweep your arm to your fingertips outward. So you are sweeping downward along the arm all the way down to your fingertips, but you're sweeping it outward. You don't want to sweep it in towards your body because you don't want that energy coming back at you. You want to sweep it out to the floor but away from you. So you're taking your right hand, placing on that left shoulder and you're sweeping down to your fingertips and sweeping it off your head. You're going to take your left hand placed on your right shoulder and go ahead and sweep down your arm all the way down past your elbow out through your fingertips into the ground. Okay, you will want to do this across from your shoulders to your hips and down your arms several times on either side. Remember, you're breathing in and placing your hand on on that out breath is how you are sweeping the energy. So you're almost like breathing out the energy like You're like getting it off of you want to get it out of you want to get it off of you. So let's go ahead. Let's do one round all together, placing your right hand on your left shoulder, sweep that across your body to your hip and off your hip and just kind of sweep that away your left hand on your right shoulder, sweep it across your body to your hip and sweep it away from you. Place your right hand on your left shoulder and sweep it down the arm to the fingertips, sweep it onto the floor. Take your left hand, place it on your right shoulder and sweep it down the arm to the fingertips into the floor. Go ahead and do a second round from your right hand onto your left shoulder you breathe in. As you breathe out. You are sweeping your left hand to your right shoulder breathe in As you breathe out, you're sweeping your right hand to your left shoulder. Breathe in. As you breathe out, you're sweeping down your arm. Take your left hand, place it on your right shoulder, you're gonna breathe in. Go ahead and sweep down and breathe out. sweep down that arm all the way to your fingertips. Okay, when you're all done, go ahead and gosh, show. Thank you body. Thank the Reiki. Thank you teacher if you feel so inclined to do so. I know we're at an hour and a half. I'm trying to compress a 12 hour course into like three hours. So I hope you guys are still with me here. I'm going to try and go over these last couple of things really quickly. You can use Reiki to connect with crystals and minerals to help you with your at home practice. So if you happen to own any crystals or minerals, but you don't know how to use them, you can sit use Reiki as a way to hear hear their medicine or hear their voice. And this can be a really special way to connect with your crystals. This can be a really special way and fun way to practice Reiki. When I first learned Reiki with my Reiki master, they sat with me I showed them my crystal I sat and I asked the crystal what its name was it told me a name, told me how it wanted to be used. And then I just sat and like gave it Reiki and it was super appreciative. So to connect with a crystals essence, you hold the crystal with both hands, and begin Hara breathing, set your intention that Reiki is going to help you understand the crystal that Reiki is going to help you connect to the crystal that Reiki is going to help you communicate with the crystal whatever your intention is, you set your intention right. Then as you breathe the Reiki down into your arms, let it pour out of your hands and into the crystal, pour, pour. That's a good word to like visualize, let it pour out of your hands into the crystal, you might feel the crystal become warm or cold, it might begin to buzz, it might begin to vibrate, it might not do anything at all. But let the crystal receive some of these Reiki energies for a few moments, then go ahead and ask your questions or go ahead and like you know, just connect with the essence of of the crystal give yourself permission to connect with it. You can ask the crystal how it wants to be used or how it wants to be held, you'll get different answers, some people will hear the answers audibly in their mind. Some people might just understand or know, you just might get a knowing about it. Some people might get a visual in their mind. So remember, everybody is different, we all have different abilities. If you're a visual person, you'll probably get an image in your mind. You might be an audible person, you might hear an explanation in your head, you might just know might just know you might even get like some weird you know, Vision sequence of the crystals past life or something you know like who knows what will happen the point is use this Reiki to help you connect with these crystals and it's gonna be really great to start to build a relationship with them because these are your crystals anyway you should get to know their personalities and get to know their their you know what they want to be utilized for you can even ask them like how do I clear you How do I do this? How do I do that? So it can give you a lot more tools in understanding how to use these these tools how to use these tools and amplify your Reiki flow and help you connect with with more healing I guess objects right because Reiki is a tool and crystals are a tool just gives you a lot to work with. So yeah the Most important thing about these teachings is, remember, you're not doing Reiki for other people. And I highly recommend you don't move forward until you've practiced this for 30 days on yourself at the very bare minimum. And when you're ready to move forward with learning how to do this for other people, please reach out to a Reiki Master, it doesn't have to be me, though I would be honored to work with you, I do recommend you reach out to a Reiki Master and get their support in teaching you the proper techniques, and going more in depth on like professionalism and ethics and scope of practice. I'm going to just briefly talk about scope of practice. Because if you break the scope of practice, and you decide, oh, I'm not gonna listen to Rainbow, I'm just gonna go do whatever the heck I want. There are some legal responsibilities and legal implications that might happen. Should you not heed my warnings, you can be sued, you can be sued for malpractice. So be very careful. This is why I'm telling you guys to not practice on people unless you are actually working with a Reiki Master. A lot of Reiki Masters don't even go over this. They're not telling people that you can be sued for malpractice unless you have a license to touch other people. Or unless you know, you're an ordained minister, you know, you shouldn't be touching people unless you're licensed to touch anyway, even if you are an ordained minister, but you better have some kind of consent waiver on your intake form. Or else you're going to have some legal problems, you should probably have an insurance policy as well to make sure that people understand that they are protected under your policy and that you are protected under your policy, that you you understand that their health is in your hands. So don't go around doing Reiki just because you know how for other people, it's really unethical. So some things that you cannot do, even if you did learn, Reiki is you can't diagnose, treat or cure people. You can't even promise or imply that you can diagnose treat or cure diseases or people or symptoms or whatever. When we're doing treatments, right, you understand that this is complementary care. You're encouraging, you know, I'm encouraging you guys to continue with your doctors. I'm not saying this is going to cure you. I'm not saying this is going to be the end all be all, you'll never have to take Western medicine ever again. I'm saying that these practices helped me like beyond beyond words in my own life. But I continued to see doctors so please continue to see doctors, right. Reiki does not allow you to prescribe recommend or prognosticate, which means predict the outcomes and healing times of clients conditions. You know, just because I'm here teaching you Reiki, I can't prescribe or recommend anything to any specific condition. I can't state or imply that Reiki is a replacement for licensed medical care doctors. And I would never, because I think it's a great complementary treatment. You cannot talk therapy. Even if you become a Reiki Master, you cannot go into a session and talk to people about their problems unless you're a licensed life coach or therapist or whatever. Like life coaches can't even talk therapy. They can't do talk therapy, you cannot do that. It is not ethical. You're not a therapist or a psychiatrist. And sometimes things that you say in a session can negatively impact somebody with any kind of mental and emotional problems can agitate someone and cause them to be harmful to themselves or others. So it's really important that you understand that this is not within your scope of practice. You cannot give financial advice as a bad idea to do because then he'll be financially liable. You'll be legally liable. Should they make any kind of poor financial decisions? Oh, suddenly it's your ass on the line, not theirs, because they'll sue you for whatever, just to compensate. You cannot do physical manipulation of the body. You cannot do massage or bodywork unless you're a licensed massage, or bodywork therapist. You just can't be touching and squishing the body. You can't be manipulating any kind of muscle tissue. You can't go and start like squeezing things. That's for massage and bodywork only you need a license to do that. You cannot do any kind of sexual activities, nudity, or share the table with your client during the session. Because all of that falls under prostitution, and solicitation, and that's all illegal here in United States, it's not good, you will be sued, be very liable. Don't do those things. Unless, you know, just don't do them. Don't do them ever in a client therapy session, just don't do that. I was gonna say, unless you're with your partner and you're at home, you're not doing it, you know, whatever. Don't do it for clients. Okay, just don't do it. For clients, you're not supposed to be having clients anyway. So I'm just being very clear. This is, you know, don't go into learning Reiki thinking you're going to be able to do these things. Or will you be able to go into a Reiki session and do any of these things, you need other licenses to do any of these things. So, if you hope to learn Reiki so that you can heal people, treat them, cure them, prescribe them, give them you know, mental health advice, to be able to give them some kind of massage, you know, give them a little shoulder rub with their Reiki session. You cannot do any of those things. Don't move forward with Reiki if you you know, want to do any of this stuff. Okay, the things you can do for your clients should you you know, go and follow up and try and become a Reiki Master and learn Reiki in regards to healing others is you can offer relaxation and stress relief, you can promote well being and healthy lifestyle choices. You can remind the client that their body, mind and spirit has self healing capabilities, you can talk about how relaxation, stress relief, healthy lifestyle choices, etc. promotes the body, mind and spirits ability to heal itself. You can ask your client to see a doctor or other licensed medical provider for any medical issues that you feel unqualified to treat, you can refer your client to a qualified practitioner outside of your field such as a doctor, chiropractor, psychotherapist, licensed counselor, etc. For things outside your scope of practice. If your client has any kind of emotional release during your session, you can offer supportive space, I hear you oh my goodness, that sounds so difficult, would you like a tissue, but never advice you should do such and such and such, it is not your job to fix anything. Or to provide solutions, people are coming to you for a safe space to heal self heal, right? You are only there to hold this space for them. If your client asks you for advice, gently remind them that talk therapy and giving advice is outside your scope of practice and they should they should call a therapist, they should get a therapist for those things, okay. So, once again, you are not being certified in order to be able to do these services for people. So please do not go and do these services for people. Okay. In regards to working on yourself, you are welcome to go ahead and work on yourself. And if you want to do this as a profession, you want to learn how to do Reiki for others.
