Journey to Meet Your Fairy Guide

Magic gets a lot harder to notice when we grow up, not because it disappears, but because we stop practicing the inner skills that pick up subtle signals. I’m Rainbow Raaja, and I’m sharing the exact energy work and meditation flow I use to build a clear, grounded connection with the fairy realm, even if you feel like your imagination has been “offline” for years.

We start with practical breathwork you can do in minutes: breathing from navel to heart to sense energy moving, then expanding into a crown-to-spine circuit to gently activate your energetic channels. From there, I guide you through waking up your energy tail and opening your energy wings, using earth energy and a loving connection to Source (God, angels, ancestors, or whatever language fits your path). The focus stays on safety and softness: no forcing, no pushing through resistance, just steady attention that trains sensitivity.

Then we shift into a guided journey to meet your fairy guide, ideally outside in nature among plants, trees, birds, and the elements. You’ll follow a path through a field of wildflowers, offer a bouquet with intention, learn your guide’s name, and ask what offerings and meeting places help your new friendship grow. I also share how to integrate what you experienced by drawing a portrait, writing the name down, and creating a simple altar near a houseplant so you can reconnect anytime.

Fairy Realm Focus And Key Resources

Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to Rainbows Rising, where we ascend together. I'm your host, Rainbow Raja. So we have been exploring the fairy realm this month. And this week I'm going to teach you how you can meet your fairy guide, start to develop a relationship with the fairy realm yourself. There are some wonderful, useful resources that I do recommend looking into if you really want to dive very deep into working with the fairy realm and the different fairy beings. But the practices that I'm going to be introducing you today are inspired by the practices that are in the Fairy's Oracle. The book is written by Brian Fraud and Jessica Macbeth. And the practices in this book were some of the very first meditation and energy work practices that I ever did. And it set such a strong foundation for me in my life that I still do these practices to this day. And I had started working with these practices back in 2010. So it's been a good long while that I've been doing these practices. Another book, once again, written by Brian Froud, is How to See Fairies. This is by Brian Froud and John Matthews. And I have the book open here. You can't see it, but there is a practice in the book where it has a portal to help you call in the fairies. So I have opened the portal here beside me to call in the fairies for their just their company while we guide you into building a connection with your fairy guide and your your new experience with a realm beyond this physical realm. So as we've talked about this month, the fairy realm is not always something that you will see with your eyes. The reason children see the fairy realm is because their minds are not confined to being able to touch and to see things the way we see them. They have such active and vivid imaginations. And so, in order for you to begin to strengthen that muscle to see other dimensions and other realms, you're going to have to be childlike in your connection with the fairies. So if you are an adult and you haven't used your imagination in a really long time, it's never too late. Let's get that muscle moving. Let's kind of pull that whole grumpy adult behavior. Let's clear it. Let's just return to our childlike innocence again. There are three steps that we are going to take to prepare you to meet your fairy guide. These steps are very simple practices that I encourage you to do every day. These are things that you can spend 10 minutes doing just to begin to work the muscle of having your energy body being sensitive to getting your mind able to perceive and focus on the different impressions that come through these other realms. So, in order to be able to connect with these beings that are in a different space than us, you have to almost tune your own body, your antenna to being able to receive their form, to receive their messages. And once you've built enough of a connection with them, they might begin to present themselves to you in other ways. But in order to do that, you first have to be able to communicate with them telepathically and through meditation and even just through your energy because they can feel us. The practices that I'm going to be teaching you were first introduced to me in The Fairies Oracle by Brian Fraud and Jessica Macbeth. I'm not going to read them directly out of this book, but I am going to guide you through the three practices that I believe are integral for tuning your energy body, your heart, and your mind to be able to perceive the fairy realm.

Navel To Heart Breathing Practice

The first thing that we're going to do is if you've never meditated before, we're going to practice this very easy, short, guided breath work practice that you can do anywhere. You can do it sitting in bed before you go to bed. It's very simple and it just helps your body be able to feel energy coming in, where it's going, and going out. So if you are not driving a vehicle or doing something intensive that needs your attention, I encourage you to take a moment to sit where you're at. You could do this standing as well. Just become aware of your body. Become aware of your navel, of your belly button. We're going to take a nice deep breath in through our belly button, imagining energy coming in through your belly button. And you're going to pull it all the way up to your heart. And you're going to breathe it out. Out through your belly button. This should feel as you continue to do this breathing pattern in through your belly button. Up into your heart and out through your belly button. Continue to do that breathing as I guide you into some sensation. So as you do this breathing pattern, at first you might feel you're forcing it. You might feel this pressure. You might not feel anything. But we do not want to force anything. These are just gentle breaths. Just becoming aware of the sensation, the attention on your belly button and pulling that energy up through your belly button into your heart and breathing it back out through your belly button. As you do this breathing pattern, you might start to notice a gentle wave sensation, like the in and out of an ocean tide. Breathing in this breath in through your navel up into your heart. Breathing it out through your navel. Feel like a gentle wave rising and falling within you.

Crown To Spine Energy Circuit

Once you can perceive the energy flow moving in and up your body, moving down and out of your body, we're going to transition into the second activity, which is we're actually going to breathe that energy all the way to the tip top of our head. And as we breathe out, we're going to have it go over the top of your head and down your spine all the way to the tip of your tailbone. All right. So we're going to breathe the energy in through your belly button, up into your heart. And as you breathe out, you're going to move it up over the top of your head and down your spine. Feel it down the back of your neck, down your spine, all the way to the tip of your tailbone. This time, when you breathe in, you're going to breathe the energy directly from the top of your head. You're going to breathe it down from the top of your head, from the crown of your head, down your spine. All the way to the tip of your tailbone. And as you breathe out, you're going to breathe it out through the top of your head. You're going to breathe it in through the top of our head, all the way down to the tip of our tailbone. Breathe it out through the top of your head. What we are doing with moving your breath and this energy charge that continue to do the breathing, breathing it in through the top of your head. To the tip of your tailbone. Breathe it out through the top of your head. With each breath and each focused, intentional breath, you are strengthening the circuits in your body to move energy. We have a lot of different energy systems in our body. We have our seven chakras. We have an entire network of vein-like energy connections called meridians. We have acupressure points. We have different chi points in our bodies. And as we are directing our breath with the intention of moving energy, you are opening and activating these circuits that may have never been used before. So it might take some patience and a little bit of practice to wake them up. So being gentle with yourself, bringing in that energy through the top of your head, down to your spine. Breathe it out through the top of your head again. If you can't feel it get down to your tailbone, maybe you feel as you're breathing, it's getting stuck in your neck. Maybe you feel it getting stuck behind your heart. Do not push it, do not force it. Just every single time you breathe, you just bring it to that spot and try to very gently guide it through that area without pushing beyond the resistance. It's kind of like you're just, you're just gently nudging the barrier out of the way. You're just just trying to clear the path gently. We're not trying to force anything. If you push through with your energy and you're like trying to force that energy through your body, you can cause some damage. So don't do that. We are taking everything very slow, keeping it with like intention, just listening to your body, going very, very gentle and very easygoing. We're breathing in through the top of our head, bringing it down to your tailbone and breathing it back out through the top of your head. But the purpose of this is you are activating the main channels of energy. So our spine holds all of the connection points for our chakras, for your meridians. Our goal is to open up that main channel through your spinal column so that we can then take that energy and guide it out through our tailbone into our energy tail.

Activating The Energy Tail Gently

Our bodies have both energy tails and energy wings. And by opening up our access to our tails and our wings, we are attuning ourselves to the same form as fairies. When we have our tail in a healthy, active place where we can actually move our energy tail around, we can touch flowers, we can sense energy around us. We are becoming closer in form to that fairy realm. Our energy body becomes the bridge to guiding us in into full connection. Our tails are almost like antennas in a way. They are very grounding, they help us ground, but they also are able to receive information from the other realms. So with this guiding breath, we're going to breathe in through the top of our head, all the way down to your tailbone with your breath out this time. We are going to just gently, very slowly, do not push your breath. You're just slow breath out. Let that energy just trickle down beyond your tailbone. Okay. It might feel stuck. It might, you might feel like a pressure back there. That's totally fine. We're going to breathe that energy in through the top of your head one more time. Bring it all the way down to your tailbone. With each breath, we are waking up the tail. And it will feel like you're like hitting a plug or hitting a blockage until you get to the very tip of the tail. So once you have fully woken up your tail, it'll shoot out like a little lightning bolt at the very tip of the tail, and you'll be able to feel it. So let's go ahead. Let's do, let's say, 10 more breaths of waking up our tails. Breathe in through the top of your head. Guide that breath down all the way to the tip of your tailbone. We're going to breathe it out gently. Guide it down your tail. How far can you get without pushing? You're going to breathe in again. Breathe it out through the tail without pushing. This practice can be easier to feel standing up. So if you are someone who hasn't done a lot of energy work or a lot of meditations, and you're like, I can't feel anything, do this practice standing up, bend your knees slightly, and do this practice where you're bringing in the energy through the top of your head, pulling it all the way down to the tip of your tailbone and breathing it out. And you should be able to feel the energy out through your tail a lot easier where you're not sitting on a seat or sitting on the ground. Breathe in, bring it to the tip of your tailbone, and breathe it out through your tail. Breathe it in through the top of your head. To the tip of your tailbone and breathe it out through your tail. Breathe it in through the top of your head. Down your spine all the way to the tip of your tailbone and breathe it out through your tail. Breathe it in through the top of your head. Down your spine. Breathe it in through the top of your head. Down to the tip of your tailbone, breathe it out through your tail. Breathe it in through the top of your head. All the way down to the tip of your tailbone. Breathe it out through your tail. Breathe it in through the top of your head. Down your spine to your tailbone and out through your tail. Very good. So I'm feeling a lot more grounded. I know my state of being has completely shifted, and I can now see like almost shadow overlays of the other realms around me, but that's because I I've been doing this for a long time. But that's that's actually a really neat thing when you do practice these practices enough. Just doing a couple of breaths. I don't even think we've gone for 10 full minutes, but you'll be able to slip into these altered states and be able to see other realms very easily.

Opening The Wings With Earth Energy

So moving on, we've now woken up our tail. We've gotten our energy moving. Now we're going to open up our wings. So from the tip of your tail, however far you got down, however far you got down, we're going to breathe energy in from the earth. You're going to imagine planting your tail into the earth, however, however long it is. If you have to sit on the ground to get your tail in the earth, that's fine. But you're just going to imagine, you know, wiggling your tail enough. Imagine wiggling it, wiggling it, and then you're just going to stick it in the ground. Just anchor it down in the ground. We're going to breathe energy up from the earth, up through your tail, up, up, up, up, up, up, all the way to your heart, back to your heart. Up your spine into the back of your back. And as you breathe out, I want you to imagine pushing the energy just very gently out through your back. And as you do that, you might notice there's these two padded cushion-like structures in your back between your shoulder blades and your spine. So if you haven't felt it, do this breath one more time, breathing up through the tail. Up your spine, up your spine, all the way up to your heart. As you breathe out, push it out through the middle of your back. And notice those two cushion like pads between your shoulder blades. We're going to direct the energy from the earth all the way up, and we're going to channel it into those two cushions. Those are the base like the base points of where your wings are attached to you. So as we fill our wings with energy, they will begin to unfurl or open up all on their own without you needing to do anything. So as you charge your wings with this earth energy, they will begin to open. And as they open, they will be drawing energy down from above. So as we were pulling that energy in through our crown, it's also going to be pulled in through your wings. Now, something that Brian actually talks about in these practices is he believes in connecting with source, with God, with the one that has created all of us. And to believe that when we are doing these practices, pulling in this energy and connecting it with us so that we can connect with the fairies, we have to imagine there the love from the angelic realm, the love from God, the love from source raining down on us like golden raindrops. And that we are just absorbing this love, this unconditional, like decadent nectar from God, from the gods, from from heaven. That we are absorbing this nectar of pure love, pure light, pure acceptance. That is going to charge up what you're doing so much easier. It's going to feel like it's like that much easier to connect and to feel this energy moving through you. So as we do this practice, as we're breathing up from the tail into our heart and breathing it out through the back, I just want you to know that God, the angels, source, creator, the universe, the stars, whatever your connection point to the higher realms is, imagine them pouring their love over you. So if it's your ancestors, if it's your angels, if it's just just the air you breathe, whatever it is, imagine it pouring down from the heavens and just filling you with love and light. Okay. So we're gonna go ahead and breathe that energy up from your tail. Up into your heart. Breathe it out through your back. Charging those two cushion-like structures on your back. Charge them out, charge them out. Breathe in again through your tail. Breathe it out through your tail. Breathe it out through your tail again. Breathe it out into the cushions. Once again, we're not forcing. We're being very, very gentle with our bodies. Very gentle with our wings. For many of us, our wings have not been used in a very long time. So be gentle with yourself. Remember, they will open on their own. You do not need to force them. Just breathing light and love into your wings. Breathing light and love into your wings is going to charge them up. So breathing in up your tail. Up into your wings and out charging them up. Breathe it up through your tail. Up into your back and out into your wings. If you have to go ahead and pause. So you can really start to feel your wings opening. It'll feel like your back is breathing, like actually, like almost almost like an expansion happening on your back as you're doing this practice. If it takes a couple days, that's totally fine. There is no rush. This podcast is not going anywhere. I highly recommend that you take the time to gently get your energy system like fully awake, fully moving to begin to do these more advanced practices, which we're gonna go into right now. So now that we have woken our energy bodies up and we have created the attunement necessary to resonate with our fairy guides by opening our wings, activating our tail. Now our forms, our vibrational energy forms, are very aligned. The communication between me and my fairy friend is going to be a lot stronger because on a spiritual level, we are very similar energetic structure-wise.

Guided Journey To Meet Your Guide

So moving into this next practice, I'm going to guide you on a guided journey to meet your fairy guide. So please get comfortable. Go outside. Be among the plants, the animals, the elements. Connect to the air and the birds and the trees and the grass. If you can't go outside, that's fine. Even if it's nighttime, that's you know, go outside. It will strengthen your ability to connect to a fairy guide if you can do that. So I advise you to go sit, even just briefly in nature to do this meditation. Once you have found your location and you are sitting peacefully in nature, hopefully not by a busy street like I happen to be, I encourage you to just close your eyes, lay down in the grass, lay down beneath a tree, sit upright if you're afraid you're gonna fall asleep. Because the goal is not to fall asleep, it is to stay alert so that we can meet our fairy guide and ask questions. Make yourself comfortable, close your eyes, and doing that gentle meditation that we had started with with breathing in through your navel. All the way up to your heart and breathing out through your navel. Breathing in through your navel. Up into your heart and breathing out through your navel. Allow your body to become relaxed. Notice any tension, any pain, but don't do anything about it. Just allow it to melt. You want yourself to melt into the grass, to melt into the scenery. Invite the trees and the flowers and the grass into your body, into your energy to heal you, to balance those areas, tension, breathing in through your navel, and out through your navel. Imagine yourself laying in a field, flowers, beautiful wild flowers, every color of the rainbow. The breeze comes by, and all the flowers sway to and fro gently with those gentle breezes. The sun beams down, you can feel the warm touch of those sun rays on your skin, relaxing you, making you feel so relaxed. Once you've relaxed into this flower garden, you hear some music on the wind, sweet violins, harps, beautiful etheric melodies that weave in and out on the wind. Gently sit up. You notice there's a path that stretches out before you through the field of flowers, up over a small hill that leads to a big chair made of vines. You stand up and you walk along this pathway with beautiful flowers circled around the stones, and each step you take, it seems as if the light shimmers. You can hear music on the wind, beautiful etheric music, harps and flutes, and singing in languages you've never heard. With each step you take, the air thickens with this essence that invigorates you, wakes you up, makes you feel more alive with each step you take. You draw closer to that chair that stands in the middle of this field. You decide on your way to this chair to gather some flowers. Notice which flowers you choose. This is a very special bouquet just for your fairy guide. So with each flower you pick, make sure that you are choosing that flower for a reason as you weave it into a very special, nice to meet you bouquet for your fairy friend. Each step you take, you're gathering more flowers into this bouquet. And just as you get to the base of the hill, you notice the chair isn't empty. There's someone there. What do you notice about that person in the chair? What do they look like? Are they tall? Are they small? They thin? Do they have wings? What kind of wings do they have? What do their hands look like? What does their face look like? What details can you pull in this liminal space between realms? Approach the chair with your bouquet outstretched. Say, it is so nice to meet you. I am. What is your name? The fairy is going to share their name with you. Please try your best to remember it. Their names are not always easy to pronounce, so make sure you repeat it several times to make sure that this is indeed their name and how they'd like you to pronounce it. And once you've learned their name, give them the bouquet and say, It is just such an honor to meet you. I'm excited to work with you. I have some questions. This is a good time to ask the fairy guide how you can best work with them. Ask their favorite gifts, ask their favorite foods, ask their favorite offerings, ask where they want to meet you. This is a moment where you can learn what their hobbies are, where you can learn their favorite color, where you can learn how they like to spend their time. So take the time to ask your fairy guide a little bit about themselves. Learn what makes their heart sing. Because this is a new friendship that you're building with them, and you want to make sure that you are able to be the best kind of friend you can to them. So take a moment. Get to know your new fairy guide friend. When you feel satisfied with knowing a little bit more about your fairy guide, what their name is, what their hobbies are, the types of things they enjoy doing. It's time to say goodbye and let them know that you'll be back. That you can't wait to work with them, that you can't wait to get to know them better, that you can't wait to go on adventures with them. Because truly, that's what it is to have a fairy guide friend, to share our life with them, to learn from them, and to grow together. So say your goodbyes, turn back down the fairy path, skip, run, saunter, walk back to the field of flowers, and lay back in the grass. And whenever you're ready, open your eyes. Now

Draw Your Guide And Build An Altar

that you've met your fairy guide friend, this is where things get very fun. You now know their name and you know what they look like. So get a little creative. Let's go draw them a portrait. Draw them a little picture. Let them know how you see them. When I first did this practice and I went to meet my fairy guide friend, this was the portrait I drew of my fairy guide. She was a catsy named Celine. And I was so lucky to meet her. She still works with me to this day. As you can see from my kitty friends who continue to join me. So I encourage you to sit down. Whether it's a rude sketch or a full-blown acrylic masterpiece. I encourage you to take your time, draw what your guide looked like, write their name down and place it on an altar or near a house plant in your home so that you can start to create a space where you can go and sit and meet with this guide, especially if you're in a state like mine. I live in Washington. It rains a lot. So playing outside, connecting outside isn't always possible. So I like to honor my guides with building them a little altar, building them a little entry point. I find an indoor plant or I go and purchase an indoor plant that makes me think of my guide. And I place her portrait next to that plant. And when I go and want to connect with my guide, I would first go to the plant. I'd say, Hey, Celine, I'm calling you my fairy queen. Come and hang out with me. You can use poetry, you can play an instrument. You don't have to play it well. You don't have to be good. That's the beautiful thing about fairies, they just love if you can put your heart into it and you can be really authentic about it. They want you to be playful like a child. Children don't know how to play instruments well, but the fairies love when they play. So get on in there, make some silly songs, call your fairy to your space as many times as you can. And if you can do a similar meditation practice where you're closing your mouth your eyes, you're going to a place to meet your guide, and you can do that three more times, you will strengthen your connection to your fairy guide. And when you strengthen that connection, they will be able to send you messages, send you synchronicities. They are going to build that bond with you a lot easier. And you might even receive some fairy gifts. I've been so lucky to receive like little trinkets and little like shinies left behind for me after I have connected with my fairy guide, and we've done either meditations together, we've we've done some shamanic journeys together. There are so many ways you can work with your fairy guide. She tells me about the fairy realm, helps me understand how I can better serve Earth, the types of things I can do to be of service, different healing techniques that I can learn. She has been such an incredible teacher and such an incredible friend. I go to her with some problems sometimes. I'm like, oh my gosh, I am just so distraught because of this dumb human stuff. And she will make me laugh. She will say some silly jokes and make me laugh. When my cats get sick, because she is a cat, uh catchy, she like comes in, she like does some healing on my catch is like, don't you worry, let me help take care of your kitties. So that has just been such a wonderful just. I'm just so blessed to have that friendship, to be able to connect with her in those ways and to build to build this otherworldly interaction.

Offerings Play And Family Nature Time

Some other things that I would recommend is leaving some offerings either in nature when you are communing with your fairy guide. They like songs, they like poetry, they like handmade items if you carve. They love little teeny tiny carvings. I make teeny teeny tiny swords or teeny tiny little like flutes and I leave them places for them. I will carve things that are like this big little cups, little little tea sets. I like sit there and I whittle and I make things for them and I just leave it after I'm done whittling. I'll leave them rocks that I find when I'm taking a walk. I'll be like, hey fairies, come hang out with me. I'm sure the humans think I am bizarre, but the fairies think I'm great. So that's all that matters to me. But it's fun, it's playful, it's something that you can do if you have children. Go do it with your kids. Teach them a new way to interact with life instead of just right now what we all need is more connection. Not screen sliding. Do them scrolling. Scroll, scroll, scroll. No. Get your kids out, get them in the forest, get them playing with an imaginary creatures and invisible fantasy beings. Have your children play with the unicorns. It is not hard to get a unicorn to be assigned to you to be a protector. You just meditate and you set your intention. I am looking for a unicorn. Just go find a unicorn. They are not hard to find. They are beautiful, majestic astral beings like the fairies. They all reside in the fairy realm, which is not too far away from our home here.
